Kedves Kutasi József úr!

Nagy tisztelettel köszöntöm. A május 20-án érkezett angolul írt levélnek ez a magyar fordítása.

Bár a levélíró utal arra, hogy nincs jogosultságuk beavatkozni az egyes országok törvényhozásába, de bátorítva javasolják, hogy egy panaszbeadványt közvetlenül az Európai Bizottság Főtitkárnak, Ms Catherina Day-nek kellene megküldeni. Mint az EC vezetője, az egyes országokban hozott törvények európai összehangolása tekintetében bizonyos felügyeleti hatáskörrel rendelkezik. A címe:

Kedves Mc. Catherine Day!

Nagy tisztelettel köszöntöm Esztergomból, Szent István király szülővárosából, mártírsorsú Mindszenty József Hercegprímás Úr nyughelyéről.

Szomorúan kell tájékoztatnom, hogy jelenleg olyan kettős állampolgárságról szóló törvény van hatályban, Szlovákiában, ami több ponton sérti az uniós alapértékeket.

Nincs egyenlőség, mert amíg, a Szlovákiában élők nem kérhetik vissza a  szlovák állampolgárságukat, amikor felvesznek egy másik állampolgárságot, addig egy más országban állandó lakhellyel rendelkező szlovák állampolgárok visszakérhetik a szlovák állampolgárságukat.

Itt külön szeretném szíves figyelmét felhívni arra, hogy JUDr. Martin Javorček szlovák jogász azt állítja, hogy a Szlovák Köztársaság Alkotmánya értelmében akarata ellenére senkit sem lehet megfosztani szlovák állampolgárságától.

Sokan a törvény szigorától félve, hogy elveszik tőlük  a szlovák állampolgárságukat inkább fájó szívvel, beletörődve, hogy  nem lehetnek szabad európai polgárok, nem veszik fel másodikként a nemzetiségük állampolgárságát,  így az  emberi méltóság, szabadság és emberi jogok is súlyosan sérülnek.

Ezért tisztelettel kérem az  intézkedését.

Dear Ms Catherine Day,

 I am sending you my respectful greetings from the city of Esztergom, the native city of king St Stephen and the resting place of Cardinal Joseph Mindszenty,a martyr.

I need to inform you with regret that there is currently a law in Slovakia relating to dual citizenship that violates the basic values of the European Union in several respects.

There is no equality, because while those living in Slovakia cannot request that  they regain their Slovak citizenship when they take up another citizenship, Slovak citizens who have permanent residence in another country can request that they reghain their Slovak citizenship.

I would like to draw your attention especially to the fact that the Slovak jurist Dr Martin Javorcek states that according to the constitution of the Soovak Republic nobody can be deprived of their citizenship against their will.

Many people, scared of the strict laws that may deprive them of their Slovak citizenship, rather resign themselves sadly to the fact that they are not able to be free European citizens and do not take on a second citizenship matching their ethnicity and therefore human dignity, freedom and human rights are seriously violated.

Therefore I ask respectfully that action be taken.
