Nyílt levél Tibor Fischer Úrnak, a 2013. április 03-án The Guardian-ban megjelent „What on earth is this ignorant nonsense being spread about Hungary?” c. írására reagálva
Tisztelt Fischer Úr!
Van néhány csoport (polgári körös, keresztény) Magyarországon, amelynek tagjai a világ minden tájáról interneten keresztül (esetenként személyesen is) tartják a kapcsolatot egymással. Rendszeresen megvitatjuk a világ dolgait, kicseréljük véleményünket főként a politika témakörében.
Mivel politikai ellenfeleink továbbra sem átallják, hogy külföldön áskálódjanak jelenlegi kormányunk ellen, és országunkat ismét veszély fenyegeti, ezért harcba kell szállnunk a szó erejével.
Jó érzéssel olvastuk a Guardian-ben megjelent írását. Külön köszönjük, hogy mindezt Ön az Egyesült Királyságban élve, ennyire célirányos tömörséggel mutatja be az angol nyilvánosság számára, hangsúlyozva azon véleményét, mely szerint ez nem más, mint baloldalról gerjesztett hisztériakeltés.
„A legtöbb magyar tudja, milyen volt diktatúrában élni.” Valóban, bár a fiatalabb generáció már szerencsére csak hallomásból, vagy tanulmányaiból ismerheti (noha 2006-ban a Gyurcsány-beszéd, majd az októberi rendőr-attak, az 1956-os események ötvenedik évfordulóján - sokak számára kemény lecke volt).
Az Ön írása meggyőződésünk szerint erre a lényeges problémára mutat rá helyesen: a nyugati országok polgárai – feltételezve a jóhiszeműséget – éppen ennek a tudásnak nincsenek birtokában. Önnek abban is igaza van, hogy a valótlanságokra épített külföldi bírálatok hangneme és arroganciája hazánkban még a miniszterelnökkel nem szimpatizálók között is kontraproduktív lehet. Bár így lenne! Még jobb volna, ha a rendszerváltás korrekcióját nem kellene magyarázgatni. Ehhez azonban szükséges, hogy az országunk ügyei iránt őszintén érdeklődő kevesek számára ismertté váljon néhány, éppen az Ön által is megfogalmazott, tényeken alapuló és világosan levezetett gondolatsor, melynek fontosságát nem lehet elégszer hangsúlyozni.
Bár több ilyen tárgyilagos írás jelenne meg külföldön, tájékoztatva az embereket a valóságról!
A tény az, hogy Magyarországnak Orbán Viktor személyében végre olyan államférfi a miniszterelnöke, akire méltán lehetünk büszkék határokon innen, és túl!
Köszönetünket fejezzük ki az Ön írásáért, s azt kívánjuk, hogy gondolatai jussanak el minél több olvasóhoz. Kérjük, továbbra is álljon ki a magyar nemzetért, Magyarországért!
Az Ön példája mutatja, hogy bárhol is él a magyar ember a világon, szívében megmaradhat magyarnak!

We are members of various civil and Christian groups based in Hungary with participants all over the world, and we get together in person or on the internet to discuss our views. Our focus is on politics and on main events impacting the world.
We can see how the political opposition is trying to damage the reputation of our present government in foreign countries. This is a great danger to Hungary and we are obliged to stand up against it. It was a captivating experience to read your article in the Guardian. You informed your readers in the United Kingdom accurately. Indeed, the left is grossly misinforming the public and stirring up hysteria.
Most Hungarians know what it was like to live under a dictatorship. While the younger generation has not experienced it, they learn about it in their studies and through discussions with the older generation. Nevertheless, they got a glimpse of it while listening to the 2006 speech of Gyurcsany and watched the government sanctioned brutal police attack, against innocent demonstrators and bystanders, on the anniversary of the 1956 Revolution.
Your article properly draws attention to the vital problem: people in Western countries are lacking the correct information about Hungarian politics and are mostly bombarded by the distorted propaganda of the opposition. We agree with you that the opposition’s vicious and arrogant attacks, published in western newspapers, can become counterproductive and may change the opinion of many citizens who are not sympathetic to the Prime Minister today. We wish it would work that way! It would also be beneficial if corrections made to the governing principles of Hungary would be understood without the need for repeated explanations. To properly inform foreigners on Hungarian politics we need to see more articles in the foreign press like yours: well written and factual assessment of the political life in Hungary.
We believe we finally have a Prime Minster in Hungary, Viktor Orban who governs our country for the benefit of her citizens. We are proud of him whether we live in Hungary or in a foreign country!
