|  | | A Vajdasági Magyar Szövetség (VMSZ) is része lett a háromtagú, a Szerb Haladó Párt elnöke, Alekszandar Vucsics vezette új szerb kormánynak. Pásztor István, a VMSZ elnöke a koalíciós megállapodás aláírását követően elmondta: a szerződés tartalmazza mindazokat a célkitűzéseket, amelyeket a VMSZ már a választási kampányban is megfogalmazott. Emellett szó van benne a kisebbségi kérdésekről, az európai uniós integrációról, valamint gazdasági és fejlesztési témákról is. Közben Kövér László, a magyar Országgyűlés elnöke az Újvidéki Rádiónak arról beszélt: amennyiben elfogadjuk, hogy nincs határon túli magyar, csak magyar ember van, akkor kölcsönösen beleszólhatunk egymás belügyeibe. Hozzátette: amikor Magyarország segíti Szerbia uniós csatlakozását, akkor az ott élő magyaroknak is segít. – A szerb-magyar megbékélés a biztató kezdet után kicsit lelassult – állapította meg a házelnök. | | |

|  | | Lemondtak tisztségükről a Marosvásárhelyi Orvosi és Gyógyszerészeti Egyetem vezető testületeibe kinevezett magyar oktatók a magyar főtanszékek létrehozásának akadályozása miatti tiltakozásul. A magyar professzorok azt szeretnék, ha az intézmény román vezetősége eleget tenne a három éve módosított oktatási törvény előírásainak, és jóváhagyná az önálló magyar főtanszékek megalakítását. Az ügy megoldása azóta sem haladt előre, hogy a Romániai Magyar Demokrata Szövetség a Victor Ponta vezette román kormány része lett. Országos szinten jól működik az RMDSZ és a Szociáldemokrata Párt között megkötött kormányzási egyezség, de az RMDSZ nem számít csodákra – mutatott rá Kelemen Hunor, a román kormány miniszterelnök-helyettese, az RMDSZ elnöke. A politikus szavazásra buzdította az erdélyi magyar közösséget a május végi európai parlamenti választáson, mert szerinte az Európai Unió központjában a romániai magyarokat érintő kérdések is eldőlhetnek. | | |

| | The VMSZ has joined the Serbian government | |

|  | | The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMSZ) has joined the new, three-member Serbian government led by the President of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vučić. After signing the coalition agreement, the head of the VMSZ István Pásztor said that the agreement includes all the aims the VMSZ had set during the election campaign. It also includes questions of minorities, Serbia's EU integration and issues related to economics and development. Meanwhile the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament László Kövér told Újvidéki Rádió: "If we accept that there is no difference between Hungarians abroad and those living in Hungary, we can make mutual contributions in each others' issues." Mr. Kövér added that when Hungary helps Serbia in its EU integration, it also helps Hungarians living in Serbia. |  | | Hungarian professors at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mure?/Marosvásárhely (MOGYE) have resigned from their positions in the university's management body, in protest at the ban on establishing Hungarian departments. Hungarian professors would like the university's Romanian directors to comply with the provisions of the new education Act (which was amended three years ago) and to approve the establishment of independent Hungarian departments. The issue of Hungarian departments has remained unsolved since the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (RMDSZ) joined the Romanian government led by Victor Ponta. Deputy Prime Minister of the Romanian government and head of the RMDSZ Hunor Kelemen said that "The coalition agreement between the RMDSZ and the Social Democratic Party is functioning well at a nationwide level, but the RMDSZ does not expect miracles." Mr. Kelemen encouraged the Hungarian community living in Transylvania to vote in the European Parliament Election in May, saying that questions concerning Transylvanian Hungarians may be solved in the center of the European Union. | | |
